  7. The nearest German lines were 59 miles away. They only had enough fuel to go 30 miles in a breakout. They would have been caught in the open step and slaughtered. They had no option but to stay put and resist.

  14. 100% Correct. A KGB defector to the west in 1980, revealed that Stalin was planning on attacking Germany in July 1941. Spies tipped off Germany, and Germany launched a pre-emptive strike on the Soviet Union. They captured train loads of Soviet troops embarking at the border with their equipment. Tanks still on trailers etc. Stalin was ready to attack. History books ignore it, so as to push the narrative "Hitler broke the Nazi/Soviet pact". It's a false Narrative. Stalin was the one who broke the pact.
