@seneca983 I have read parts of it and it simply mentions that the British gave the Saudis weapons and some money/gold and in return the Saudis promised not to attack or invade the British dependancies of the UAE, Yemen and others. they had multiple similar pacts, so I don't see how these treaties make Saudi Arabia a "protectorate", whatever that means!

@sirsurnamethefirstofhisnam7986 well if you are right on that definition of protectorate then the Saudis were not protectorates because they took money from the british instead of paying them a fee for protection.
