how is it any better with politicians coming and looting and then leaving office without any consequences? Erdogan loves his country and people and his people love him for making Turkiye strong and independent!

he will when this final 5 year term is over insha’Allah and he appoints a new leader for his party who can win in 2028 and will be a more religious Muslim leader I hope!

44.88% of the vote is not close but Erdogan with 49.51% was very close in the first round even after 20 years in power, his people support him mainly because he took Turkiye out of its dark days of military dictatorship and people fear that a win for the old “establishment” party will take Turkiye back to its oppressive past, with military coups and human rights violations! unless the opposition has a full cleansing of the old ‘secular’ elite, with new democratic younger politicians, then even after Erdogan they will probably not win but keep on losing to Erdogans justice party. also Erdogan is 69 years old, whereas his rival Kemal K is 74, 5 years older! the opposition tried to defeat Erdogan with a younger politician in 2018 but he still lost even though he was younger than Erdogan and seen as in touch with younger voters.

@LW13rc a democratic ruler cannot win elections for over 20 years if he is looting the country because the people would hate him for it but obviously most of the Turkish population loves him and that is clear to see for anyone with an unbiased view!

@AlphaGeekgirl I live in the west and have seen it with my own eyes everyday since I was a child till now, in the past 20 years how it is literally falling apart from crumbling infrastructure and the economy to society and local government, everything basically!

unfortunately the CIA/USA has seen to that divide and conquer tactic by supporting PKK terrorists. Erdogan tried to make peace with the PKK but they broke their promises and continued their terrorism!

@gribbler8680 Turkiye has become more religious and i dont expect Turkiye to implement sharia like Saudi or iran but it could implement more religious/conservative laws and it already has to some degree.
