most parents want what is best for their kids. do you seriously think that the people writing these books or the government who promotes them, want what is best for other peoples children? get real! also children need guidance in early life until they are old enough to make their own decisions. if given the choice, kids would drink fizzy drinks, eat snacks and play video games all day long or much worse than that and never do their homework or even go to school!

@gotrac8121 who decides what is right or wrong? the US government and the lgbt community? if parents do not want their children reading certain books, then their decision should be respected, especially if they are the majority voice at the school!

@gotrac8121 is that suppose to be a trick question or something? obviously i don't have anything against maths, especially seeing as algebra came from Muslims, you are welcome by the way! history books are fine too, but should probably be checked out by credited historians before taught in class.

@gotrac8121 i think the majority adult population should decide and in most cases the majority of a town or country would not make the wrong decision, especially when concerning their children's wellbeing, education and future prospects. also those Muslim mathematicians who invented algebra and much more did so because of Islam! they needed a better and easier way of calculating the amount of yearly mandatory charity, called zakah that they should pay and doing so was very difficult with roman numerals or other means, before they invented Arab numerals as they are called.
