  1. spoiler alert the Barbary pirates had no country or state but were divided groups who paid protection money to the leaders of the area until the french and others forced the leaders to stop providing them shelter and ultimately invaded Algeria and occupied it for over a century. do you see that happening today to Yemen? lol

  2.  @landontesar3070  because without land operations you cannot control what happens on the ground. air power only has limited influence. the saudis were hammering them from the skies with usa weapons and guidance for years but still couldn’t stop the houthis. they are well entrenched now into their heartland where it is mostly mountainous and where the majority of Yemens population live.
