Prophet Ishmael عليه السلام was the first son of Prophet Abraham عليه السلام and he loved him very much and so does God and this is proven by the bible. it makes sense that it was Ishmael not Isaac that was to be sacrificed especially since Allah tested Abraham again by sending Ishmael into the Arabian desert! the rabbis changed the story in the torah to fit the jewish narrative!
