  1. why didn’t you mention Jack Ward the english Barbary pirate who converted to Islam. Hollywoods Jack Sparrow is based on him.

  2.  @TheHistoryChap  also his nickname was Birdy, instead of Sparrow and i don’t think he drank alcohol/rum after his conversion but nor was he a pirate in the Caribbean, as in the Hollywood film. still i thought you would have known about him, seeing as you focused a lot on the British aspect of this history, about the Barbary corsairs!
