AMSL is a Dutch champion. Philips is a Dutch champion of missed opportunities, they could have had everything and could have been the Apple of Europe.

@Felix-zb6mc They are, but their revenue is declining every single year since it peaked in 2000. I just said it because every single asset they sold, is now more worth than Philips itself. I mean, just look at ASML which used to be part of the Philips group. ASML market cap 2022: 251 Billion USD Philips market cap 2022: 26.77 Billion USD By market capitalisation ASML is now almost 10 times bigger than Philips. Philips could have lead the way in consumer electronics, chip manufacturing et cetera. This is why I said that combined they could have been the Apple Inc. of the EU / Netherlands. But they are not and Apple is haha.

@_Meng_Lan Where you get your information from? Both in revenue and profitability Apple is bigger than Samsung. With fewer products.

Isn't it dangerous that just one company in the world is making this core technology? What if Russia bombed ASML or what if a huge sun flare hit our earth. Maybe a repeat of Roman concrete.
