The UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership at the moment. Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria FIRST (which would be monitored by the EUs Commission) .

  5.  @marknicholson2281  No, it's NOT up to "negotiation", as the EUs joining criteria will be for EVERY 3rd country, which would like to join the EU. Those 15+ years are the MINIMUM needed, again = the UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership at the moment. Schengen area and adapt the €/Euro are mandatory for ALL NEW EU member states !! If a country/UK, wants to join a "club/EU", where all club rules are known upfront, but doesn't like those rules, then it should stay outside that club. Our club, our rules !!

I'm very sorry for you, but the way it looks like over here recently, is, that it'll take the UK decades to join the EU again, as it's up to the EU27 member states, to decide, which country can join the EU and when. At the moment the UK is moving away from fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria.... All the best to you with greetings from the EU27 😊

The UK has to apply for EU membership by fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria FIRST (which would be monitored by the EUs Commission), if NONE of the EU27 member states vetos the UK joining the EU, only then the UK/GB would receive the status as a "candidate for EU membership", and then the 35 chapters have to be fulfilled and implemented properly (which would be monitored by the EUs Commission), if not done properly, joining process stops instantly. Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria, as stated by various EUs negotiators/spokesmen various times since years, they know due to experience of other countries joining process. It's mandatory for ALL NEW EU member states, to join the Schengen area and adapt the €/Euro, as soon as the new EU member state has a stabile enough economy. No exceptions, no cherry picking, no fast track, no opt outs for any country in the world, not even for Ukraine being at war, as stated by various EUs negotiators/spokesmen various times since years.   23. ​ @alpey8487  Germany has 20 US nukes on its territory, and has an agreement with the US, to "use" those/in cooperation with the US Gvt, this is why the German air force has bought 35 F-35 fighting jets, because they are "nuke ready".... In case you forgot, Germany still has military restrictions due to WWII, same goes for Austria... But, as we're living in 2023, the Nato troops are working/cooperating together smoother then ever... as seen in the last two Nato maneuvers earlier this year ="Nato air defender 2023" and "Nato northern coast 2023" Btw, the Nato partners UK and Germany are doing the air policing at the Baltics since 2014, always with a British/German cockpit crew 😊 Greetings 🖐

  25. Ask Cornwall how it's going since Brexit. Cornwall received € 650 million over a timespan of six years (ALL the time while the UK was EU member), since Brexit Cornwall received £ one million from Westminster. As Cornwall was one of the five poorest regions in the EU, of which four were in the UK (when UK was EU member), those EU subsidies were coming from the EUs "infrastructure fund for poor regions". In case you're visiting Blackpool in the next time, please enjoy the nicely restored Blackpool Tower, the whole seafront including the beach and the coastal protection including the coastal road etc, as ALL of that was paid with EU subsidies. The major of Blackpool stated "without the EU subsidies ALL of this would have been crumbled by now"...nonetheless 75 % of the Blackpool citizens voted for Brexit 😂 ALL social projects for kids/youth etc had to be closed down, because ALL of those projects were paid by the EUs "social funds for youth". Since Brexit those social projects for kids/youth etc didn't receive any money from Westminster...looks like that the UKs Gvt doesn't bother about British kids.. Greetings from the EU27 🖐

I find it quite sad, that after 47 years of EU membership and four years after Brexit happened = that there are still so many Brits, which are still coming up with these phantasies of "joining the EUs SM/EEA or CU or FOM"...while none of them ever bothered to look up about those available facts in the Inet = which everybody is using here... That is my intention = to enlighten the people about the EUs joining criteria = so at least they can "work" with facts and not getting "wrong hope" for an "easy solution"... The EUs "household" is partly working on a seven years term, therefor the UK has to pay back the = overpayments, it received from the EU27...oh, and of course it includes the pensions, the British MEPs including backoffice staff etc are receiving for 47 years of EU membership = of course us EUropeans don't want to pay the pensions for British MEPs and backoffice staff 😂

Right now the EUs Commission started an infringement procedure against the UK, as it still hasn't implemented properly any of the deals, it signed with the EU27.. Brexit was about EUs ATAD = Anti Tax Avoidance Directive only..

  39. The EUs Commission installed a site extra for the Brits only BEFORE the referendum "all about EU - FAQs", one just had to type "EU", then it would have popped up, as it was set up on priority. Unfortunately the Brits decided to look up about the EU AFTER the referendum, as stated by Google "the most asked question in the UK AFTER the referendum was = what is the EU?". One couldn't make it up...

January this year the "passporting" went back into the EU27. June 2025 the "Euroclearing" will be back in the EU27, then Brexit is complete, as the transition period of FOM for capital ends June 2025. That will be a huge loss for the City of London, as those financial services are making up about one third of worlds market for clearing services = a value of £ 260 trillion per year... Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria FIRST.. Every EU member state can leave the EU27 on its own free will, but it's up to the EU27 only, to decide, which country can join the EU and when..
