@HelenLemink Yes. One still wonders, how they got their MEPs "elected"? Or were they "appointed", like the Lords? Greetings from another EUs family member state ☺️

Oh dear... 🙄 Brexit is done... UK left the EU FOUR YEARS AGO...and is a 3rd country now = 3rd country rules apply 😂 Since January this year the "passporting" went back into the EU27, June 2025 the "Euroclearing" will be back in the EU27, then Brexit is complete, as the transition period of FOM for capital ends June 2025. This is a huge loss for the City of London, as those financial services are making up about one third of worlds market for clearing services = € 260 TRILLION per year 😂

The EU27 have sorted Brexit...it's done and the EU27 have moved on...much smoother than ever 😊

@johnnybgood5836 But the UK is quite happy about refugees moving to the RoI now? Double standards, the usual British exceptionlism...

@JoButterwick NO. UK lost £ 100 billion in 2022 UK lost £ 140 billion in 2023 due to Brexit | Bloomberg and Financial Times Germany would lose about € 670 billion, if it would leave the EU27..

It's up to the EU27 only, to decide, which country can join the EU and when... Leaving the EU is up to every EUs member state, but joining = is up to the EU27 only. The UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership at the moment = a national debt of max 55 %, the UKs national debt is at 101,2 % recently... The EU27 have changed some joining criteria due to the financial crisis in 2008, therefor the "national debt of max 55 % is needed" = because it's mandatory for ALL NEW EU member states, to join the Schengen area and adapt the €/Euro, as soon as the new EU member state has a stabile enough economy...

@timcolivet7343 Yes. Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria, as stated by various EUs negotiators/spokesmen various times, they know due to experience of other countries joining process. The UK is moving away from fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria at the moment... And yes, us EUs citizens do understand the narrow result of the Brexit referendum...but UK left the EU27....therefor has to apply for EU membership as every other 3rd country ...it's NOT a "re-join", but a "joining" from scrap on... EUs joining criteria = article 49 TEU All the best with greetings 🖐 Edit = EUs joining criteria...

@robinwhitebeam4386 NO. She lives in the UK teaching French... This video is about Brexit...and the EUs elections and EUs Parliament... she is talking about her pupils and their parents...that none of them know about the EUs Parliament etc... Her last sentence is "our case = Brexit = is hopeless" Half of my family are British, half of them voted for Brexit, those half voting for Brexit thought, that "the Belgians" are "ruling" the EU 🙄 That was 2013...40ish years after the UK joined the EU...and this is still readable in so many comments on British Brexit channels 🙄 UK is a hopeless case = there is education needed urgently = about the EU, how it works and what it's for, that there is a Parliament with its democratic elected MEPs (with PR), working on behalf of the 450ish million EU citizens...

@trident6547 And the WHO and the ESC 😂
1
@Leberteich ? What does Germany has to to with Brexit and Brexitters? 😂

Oh dear...here some facts for you = the EUs COUNCIL = the democratic elected EU27 member states GVTS and the democratic elected MEPs are the rule/law/decision makers in the EU27. EVERY EU member state has one voice, Malta (about 550.000 people) the same as Germany (about 84ish million people), every EU member state has one voice. 73 British MEPs were working on behalf of the British people, when UK was EU member state and it used its right to veto quite regular. Thanks for Brexiting with greetings from the EU27 😎

@JoButterwick OK ☺️ Those figures, given by Bloomberg and Financial Times, didn't include the loss of the clearing services = January this year the "passporting" went back into the EU27, June 2025 the "Euroclearing" will be back in the EU27, this is a huge loss for the City of London, as those financial services are making up about one third of worlds market for clearing services = about € 260 TRILLION per year.
