  1. Norway, Iceland etc are EFTA members...according to article 126 of the EEA Agreement = SPECIFIES that membership is open to member states either of the EU and or EFTA member states ONLY !! EEA = EUs SM NOT negotiatable !! To compare Germany's recent situation with the situation the UK is in, is quite "stretchy"... Norway and Iceland are stating since years, that they'll veto the UK joining EFTA, because they don't want a "trouble maker in their club". Only option available is full EU membership...the UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership at the moment... EVERY EU member state has the right to veto the UK joining the EU...there are various EUs member states which would do so.. UK has to sort its internal issues first, a "reflection about Brexit has to be done within the British electorate, and proper education about the EU, how it works and what it's for...and then the UK might be able to apply for EU membership by fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria FIRST....
