  1. Every EU member state can leave the EU27 on its own free will, but it's up to the EU27 only, to decide, which country can join the EU and when. The UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership at the moment. Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria FIRST.

Still there is a huge lack of facts based around Brexit and UKs recent status quo it's in since Brexit.   3.  @anarchords1905  Yes, you were, but 🥳 I know it must be pretty frustrating over there, knowing, that it'll last for quite a while...and then I'm coming up with.. facts.. At least one can adjust better to that, instead of having wrong hope all the time.. The EUs Commission/negotiators/spokesmen are stating the same over and over since years now, what has to be done by the UK, like "implementing the TCA/NIP/Windsor agreement properly", that "joining the EUs SM/EEA/CU is available for EU and EFTA member states ONLY, not though for 3rd countries, according to article 126 of the EEA Agreement... EEA = EUs SM NOT negotiatable !! But, it seems, the UK, its politicians as well as its electorate seem to be deaf about those messages...sigh...
