@alpey8487 Germany has 20 US nukes on its territory, and has an agreement with the US, to "use" those/in cooperation with the US Gvt, this is why the German air force has bought 35 F-35 fighting jets, because they are "nuke ready".... In case you forgot, Germany still has military restrictions due to WWII, same goes for Austria... But, as we're living in 2023, the Nato troops are working/cooperating together smoother then ever... as seen in the last two Nato maneuvers earlier this year ="Nato air defender 2023" and "Nato northern coast 2023" Btw, the Nato partners UK and Germany are doing the air policing at the Baltics since 2014, always with a British/German cockpit crew 😊 Greetings 🖐

@nickbarton3191 😊 It will take minimum 10-15+ years for Ukraine, AFTER the war has finished, before being a EU member state...stated some months ago by various EUs spokesmen....including the statement, that there won't be "any fast track" for joining the EU, not even for Ukraine being at war... @EllieD.Violet Yes. I think it also was part of the reunification agreement, that Germany has to agree to take the €/Euro and, relevant until these days, military restrictions for Germany/max size of troops/nukes etc .

@arthurdixon5890 Look, it surely was a very British decision only... "the EUs Commission" offered support via media/but got vehemently refused by the British Gvt =as being a national issue!! Therefor the EUs Commission had put up a site for the Brits only BEFORE the referendum "all about EU- FAQs".... one just had to type "EU " and it would have popped up, as it was set up on priority... Unfortunately the Brits decided to look up about that subject only AFTER the referendum, as stated by Google "the most asked question AFTER the referendum was-what is the EU"?!! Well, at the moment there is about 10-15 cms snow, still snowing...the Harz has heavy snowing as well... Here are more concerns about icy roads... Estimated time needed for JOINING the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria, as stated by various EUs negotiators/spokesmen various times, they know due to experience of other countries joining process. The UK is moving away from fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria at the moment. EVERY EU member state has the right to veto the UK joining the EU, ONE veto is enough to stop the whole process of joining. Greetings from the EU27 🖐

Poland and Hungary have been stripping down various rights/laws, which are included in the Copenhagen Criteria, like the independent justice, free speech/press, human rights/womens rights etc...therefor both countries don't receive their EU subsidies anymore until they go along with the Copenhagen Criteria again. The EU has declared Hungary to be a "none fully democracy" anymore.... As EVERY EU member state is EU member on its free will, it's welcome to leave the EUropean Union, if it doesn't like those "club rules" anymore... Btw, those "rules" are there, to protect the EUs citizens and their humanitarian rights... How are the EUs laws/rules/decisions" decided? The EUs Council = the EUs member states Gvts and the democratic elected MEPs are the rule/law/ decision makers in the EU... 😊 Edit typo/autocorrect

@nickbarton3191 Yes, I know about that and corrected it already 😊 About "rebuilding" Ukraine...it won't be done "properly", as long as Russia is "bombing it to dust again"... everything done recently is provisorical, to give a bit of shelter and keep the urgently needed infrastructure running /electricity/heating/water supply/canalisation... You make it sound, as if the EUropean companies are already "sitting on the fences like vultures", waiting to do "corpse scargenving" on the "left overs" from Ukraine ... Well, as the war unfortunately and sadly is still ongoing, who knows, how long it'll take... before "rebuilding" a by war destroyed country, first of all EVERY centimeter has to be checked for "dud shots and landmines",... that alone will take its time... @Gregorovitch144 For example some weeks ago the EUs "Rapid Reaction Force" with 2.800 troops from 19 EU member states had its first maneuver ever in Rota/Spain.... Until 2025 the EU27 will enlarge it to 5.000 troops, same principle as Nato = rotating troops and rotating leadership.. The EUs "Rapid Reaction Force" is there to evacuate EUs citizens from dangerous areas/regions with military support, if needed, like recently at Gaza etc. That wasn't possible while the UK was EU member, as the UK always blocked that... And lots of other EUs issues...since the UK left, the EU27 are working/acting much smoother and faster together...

"EU" isn't one person/country or whatever, but as written above, ARE 27 independent and souvereign EU member states 😊

Brexit was and STILL IS a purely BRITISH ISSUE, nothing to do with the "other" 27 EU member states...therefor it's NOT possible, that "the EU " is "complacent", as a union of 27 independent and souvereign countries don't have feelings or simular... It still amazes me, that after 47 years EU membership, 7 years after the referendum and 3,5 years after Brexit you Brits still don't seem to understand, how the EU works and what it's for... The change has to come from within the UKs electorate, including severe education about the EU, how it works and what it's for....
