@petermillar24 Brexit might "worked its magic way for him", but definetely had the opposit effects for the EU27 = stronger together than ever, and due to the war NATO has two more members = stronger than ever... 😅 And the "three days special military operation" is coming to its third year by now... They can't promise anything, which isn't up to them, as it's up to the EU27 only, to decide, which country can join the EU and when. The Single Market... = EEA Agreement = SPECIFIES that membership is open to member states either of the EU and or EFTA member states only, according to article 126. EEA = EUs SM NOT negotiatable !! EUs joining criteria = article 49 TEU The UK doesn't even fulfill the needed criteria for APPLYING for EU membership = a national debt of max 55 %, the UKs national debt is at 101,2 % recently... Estimated time needed for joining the EU are minimum 15+ years AFTER fullfilling the Copenhagen Criteria, as stated by various EUs negotiators/spokesmen various times since years, they know due to experience of other countries joining process. @edwardbernthal160 Hi Edward 😊 the EU27 are taking care firstly of its own member states and citizens...not though for an ex- member state/UK, which was demanding opt outs while being a member, and now, because of the Brexit- related, self inflicted economical desperation, still is demanding opt outs to "save British economy"... As already written by the other commentors here...the EU27 would need to change its own rules/laws etc, just to "benefit" the UK... Greetings from Bremen 👋

NO. EU27 are stronger than ever, working together much smoother and faster as well, and NATO has two new member states and also works together pretty good...as shown in all those NATO maneuvers, which were ongoing in 2023 and still in 2024, with its largest NATO maneuver since the 1990s...😊 Greetings from the EU27 🖐
