Btw, you can't "win" what you always had = sovereignty 😊 The EU27 are a pragmatic, rule based organisation/union of 27 independent and souvereign countries with their democratic elected Parliament (with PR) and its MEPs working/acting on behalf of the democratic elected EU27 member states Gvts and their 450ish million citizens. Yeahhh, apart from that it's actually €2,33 per month/head of us 450ish million EU citizens to "compensate" the loss of the UKs EU membership fee, it's affordable and appreciated 😎

The UK has opted not to take part of Erasmus until 2027...the UK also is not part of Galileo anymore. Being a associated member of the Horizon programm was already part of the TCA. The UK will be a associated member of Copernicus again from January 2024.

It always was "out" only, as everything else, like the "soft Brexit = staying in the SM", were "fairy tale dreams" of the Brexiteers anyway, because only full EU member states and EFTA members can be in the SM...but not 3rd countries...

The EU27 are a pragmatic, rule based organisation with its democratic elected Parliament (with PR) and its MEPs working/acting on behalf of the EU27 member states Gvts and their 450ish million citizens. The EUs Parliament is the worlds second largest democratic Parliament with secret, free and independent elections every five years since 1979. After being a member for 40ish years and being out of the EU since 2020, you Brits still don't seem to understand, how the EU works 🤣 Stay where you are on your plague Island with your sewage poluted British waters, your crumbling raac buildings, pothole plastered streets, food banks for hospital staff and all the other "world beating" sh£t. @joeduffy3309 Well, the British negotiators wanted to pull out everything connected with "the EU"... Unfortunately the EFTA/Norway etc members stated various times, that they'll veto the UK joining the EFTA because they don't want a "trouble maker in their club". The EU27 negotiators/spokesmen stated various times as well, that "bespoke deals/like the Swiss one, are NOT available anymore either, because of "too much hustle". Only option is: the UK has to apply for EU membership by fulfilling the Copenhagen Criteria first, if none of the EU27 member states vetos the UK joining the EU again, only then the UK would receive the status as a "candidate for EU membership", and then the 35 chapters (which would be monitored by the EUs Commission) have to be fulfilled/implemented properly, which could take decades. No exceptions, no cherry picking, no fast track, no opt outs, as stated by various EU spokesmen. It's mandatory for ALL NEW EU member states to join the Schengen area and adapt the €/Euro, as soon as the new EU member state has a stabile enough economy. Greetings from the EU27 😊

Those are the overpayments the UK received when being a EU member state, because the EUs household is based on a seven years term. Therefor the EUs money, which had been given upfront to the UK (for various projects etc), has to be paid back. On top of that the pensions of the 90ish British MEPs and their backoffice staff, which had been working on behalf of the British people, has to be paid back as well... or do you think, the EUs citizens should pay the pensions for the British people?
