@catsfan_M Well, what people seem to forget = all of that started already in 2011 with the Syrian internal issues, but it mostly had to be sorted by the southern EUs member states....In 2015 the "overload" lead to that situation...Schengen area = always open border = if Germany would have closed its borders = the much smaller EU member states would have had infrastructure problems...but ALL counties border police were on "stand by" to close ALL internal Schengen borders within minutes... It's not that simple, as it might look like from outside ..

@Memovox Nooo, Assad is a dictator, he didn't "invite" anybody... In case you didn't recognise, it's Russia and Turkiye, which are "busy".. in Syria..
