@Kartoffelsuppe_m_Wursteinlage You're correct, but, about 40 million Indians and about 15 million Bangladeshi died through the British colonization/occupation. Comparing one crime with the other (worse/not as worse) shouldn't really come into this subject, as all of those colonization crimes were terrible.

They were the victims, and it shows the respect for them by naming streets after them !

@pissiole5654 Nobody was saying here, that that's all. DW is just reporting what happened recently in Berlin, nothing more, nothing less.

@antoniousai1989 Apart from, that the Roman Imperium is about 2000 years ago and definetely nobody from those people (descendants) still alive, I would think, that the Romans weren't angels neither. Like: every chief of a tribe had to "pass on/hostage" his oldest son to the Romans as a "warranty proove", that this occupied tribe will go along/ follow the Roman rules. Man kind has and is always been brutal/ evil, until today, unfortunately.

@liam_antho7 Right, as "only" 40 million Indians and about 15 millions Bangladeshi died through "British colonization/occupation", that's indeed marvelous :-((((

@blackbrownyellowearth2615 Ok, thanks 😉 I've just looked it up, those people were Bengals instead of Bangladeshi.

@Kyle Erikson Those people were part of the "Resistance", the victims of German colonialism, therefor it's just showing respect by naming streets after them !

@Randy Raudi It's YT, not DW, and it's called "shadow banning", don't ask me, how the new algorithm works, but even the most correct (with facts) answers/posts get shadow banned. Quite annoying.
