@dwl3006 "Encircled" by Nato?? Ever looked at a map? I guess not, as Russia is the worlds LARGEST country, while the EUropean Continent looks "tiny" to the left of Russias "landmass". Poo-tin wants "his great Russian Empire " with the borders from the USSR back, therefor declared various times, that even Finland, Poland and the Baltics don't have the "right to exist" as independent/souvereign nations but "are Russian". Sounds very "familiar" like the "Austrian with the moustage 80ish years ago", ahh, forgot to say: Poo-tin is a huge fan of H****r. Just saying...

@proudlyafrican3373 Well, totally different situation. The Afghan people had about 20ish years of time to "sort their issues within their own country, including heavy corruption" while getting "pampered" with billions for urgently needed infrastructure/schools/hospitals etc, but instead decided to live like 500 years ago. If people of a country/society of a country don't want to change their mindset there is nothing one (from abroad) can do to support, as simple as that... Just saying....

@dwl3006 Oh dear, you've been watching to much RT per day? Just look up for those speaches, where he stated that he is a huge fan of Peter the Great and that it took him 20 years of War to create the "Great Russian Empire". Or move to Russia, if you're such a fan of Poo-tin...

@duncansmith7562 The way Poo-tin was talking about Peter the Great was meant as a "hint" towards western countries by stating, that Peter the Great has been at war for 20ish years to create the "Great Russian Empire". Btw you can't compare "political/power/imperial habits" from the past with modern times, as due to International treaties all borders are "fixed as they are by law", if every power hungry dictator would do the same by just invading a country to "extend/enlarge his country, then we would be back at the "good old days" of Imperialism/colonialism, which nobody wants, I guess ...
