@wakandanlivesmatter3501 Parts of the Ukrainian Army are permanently in EU countries to get trained for all delivered modern western military equipment. Of course it takes quite time. On top of that, what most people seem to forget, ALL most modern western equipment need to be new programmed because of language and cyrillic writing, as all on board systems are digital. All takes time, every country has its specific settings on their "machinery", they all have to have the same setting before going to Ukraine.

Germany is the fourth largest military supplier to the Ukraine and has sent MARS II, IRIS-T, PZH2000, Gepard systems and others. The DW report is ONLY about sending MODERN WESTERN BATTLE TANKS, which NONE of the NATO member states have sent yet. Btw, since 2017 Germany is doing its NATO "job" in the Baltics. 1600 soldiers are there, from which two thirds are German, the other third are rotating NATO soldiers. Another 2000 German soldiers are on "stand by" in case of urgent needed action. Germany is also doing the air policing at the Baltics and some German Fregates are "cruising" in the Baltic Sea to protect the Baltics from the sea side. Just get informed before posting.

Its unfortunately the usual "German bashing" and pops up with any subject :-(( Btw, Poland was supposed to get Leo's from Germany with the newest up dates, as a "compensation" for the given Russian Tanks to the Ukraine, but suddenly wanted Puma's instead, which wasn't agreed, therefor they are getting South Korean Tanks now.

@johnbox271 The deal was to get up to date Leopards from Germany for the Russian tanks, but suddenly they were demanding Puma's (the most modern tanks, as far as I know), but just as compensation for free. Now they are getting tanks from South Korea.

@wakandanlivesmatter3501 Yes, I saw that, yours and from the other person. This is why I answered to you, letting you know, that the Ukrainian soldiers are in training. But not for those modern western battle tanks. They are asking for them since day one as well as for fighting jets and various other things. Being in that terrible situation its understandable. Lets see, when NATO decides, to pass on the modern western battle tanks.

@scratchy996 Leo 2 A7+ is the most modern battle tank at the moment, Leo 2s have been updated all the time (have a look about that, as I did), and are in use all around the world. The PZH2000 is a different system and the most modern of that system. Can't be compared with a battle tank. Its somehow an "agreement" in the NATO until now, not to send any modern western battle tanks. May be that changes in the near future?!

@annaredding Yes, my dear Polish neighbour(as I'm German 😉), Germany is the fourth largest military supplier, listed at statista, and before you getting upset again, Poland is THIRD, listed at statista. What makes me really sad about this is, instead of doing a quick "fact check", you prefered to do the usual "German bashing/ blaming", instead of using the source, we're all using here, the Inet.
