Comments by "SaBa" (@saba1030) on "Why is Turkey still blocking Sweden and Finland from joining NATO? | DW News" video.
@Vale Visa EU and Nato have a "one voice" system for big decisions, like New members etc. To change that to a "two third majority" system there is "one voice" needed again, unfortunately.

@defcreator187 Unfortunately to change the "one voice" system to a "two third majority" system one voice is needed :-((

@dragons_hook I know, this is why the EU27 is set up with a "one voice" system as well.

@samirzemmache NO. Turkiye's application to join the EU is on hold because it still doesn't fulfill the Copenhagen Criterias, which are including human rights, women rights, freedom of speech/press, independent justice etc. Turkiye was on a good way in the early days of application, but unfortunately decided to go backwords/ away from the Copenhagen Criteria again. This is why it is as it is: Turkiye still is a "candidate for joining the EU". Greetings from the EU27

@abcde4691 The EU27 has the same "military support" agreement within it's member states as Nato members. Sweden and Finland are both EU member states. But of course to be a Nato member would be very good, as more countries are included.

@danielwhyatt3278 One voice is needed to change the "one voice" rule. Guess, who'll blocking that ...

@Cabbage22927 I don't know what you mean?! Are you talking about why there is the "one voice" system at Nato? That was done, so every country has the same "weight" at decisions, independently from it's size/citizens living there.

@samirzemmache Just look up the Copenhagen Criteria please, nothing else to talk about. Turkiye is more and more turning into a Authcracy, unfortunately ... Greetings from the EU27

@samirzemmache No, but this is why Ukraine wasn't allowed to apply to join the EU before the war, too much corruption, a none stabile democracy etc. When the war is over (hopefully soon), Ukraine has to work on those issues seriously. Add on: we all know Poo-tins "dreams" of an "Great Russian Imperium" in its borders of the USSR, this is why the Nato allies/EU27 are supporting Ukraine, as Poo-tin stated some time ago, that he's a "fan" of Peter the Great, who was on war for 20 years to "create" the "Great Russian Imperium". I guess, even Turkiye wouldn't like that "version". Greetings from the EU27 😉
