@adamabele785 Yup. Since October 2022 about 14.000ish Ukrainian soldiers/ technicians are in Germany for training, but of course they don't say for what equipment. Some other guy from Lithuania here at this platform said the other day, that Lithuania is doing the maintenance/ repairs for the PZH2000, when needed. Greetings from Germany 😉

It was clear that the Leopards would be delivered, because some weeks ago the Marder was confirmed to be delivered. Marder and Leopards are always working as a team, therefor 😉

A guy from Lithuania told me recently, that the Lithuanian army is doing the maintenance and repairs for the PZH2000 when needed. Something simular will be done for the Challengers, I'm sure 😉 Greetings from Germany

@alainlefebvre9860 It's all not as easy, for example Turkiye (500 Leos) and Greece (500 Leos), have stated that they won't sent any tanks to Ukraine. Austria doesn't want to either. From the about 2.000 Leopards in the EU are only less then one thousand left over, and most of them are actively in use. On top of that all Leos are different models (Leopard 1, Leopard 2 A4, A5, A6, A7, all made to measure with each countries specification). Therefor the 90 Leos the EU got together isn't too bad for a start. Greetings from Germany 😉 Typo/ autocorrect

@occamraiser As the Leopards are always working as a team with the Marder, and some weeks ago the delivery of Marders Was already confirmed, it was clear that Leopards get delivered. No "Arm twisting" needed.

@barubaru729 Well, those tanks in Syria were Leopards 2 A4 without the recommended extra armered protection and were handled wrong as well. The ones Germany is sending are the Leopards 2 A6. Btw, the Canadian army was very happy with their Leopards, they were handling them properly and had the extra armered protection, therefor all tank teams came home safely.

@foreign_agent Well, until now no other countries have sent modern western battle tanks. Only the old Soviet tanks have been sent. Btw, yesterday the German army has installed various Patriot air defense systems (owed by the German army) along the Polish border to protect Poland towards Russia. Same was done in Slowakia. Germany will send 14 Leopards 2 A6 = a company, directly out the German army, all together the EU member states will send 90 Leopards, plus Challengers from the UK, Abrams from USA, Leclercs from France, all together about 140 tanks. There will be more coming up ...

@mascot4950 It's the way the German language "works". As the German language is calling things male/ female/ neutral, opposit to the English language, there are certain countries "female", don't ask me why 😉, but Ukraine, UK, Netherlands, USA, EU, Philippines, they are all "female". Therefor all of those mentioned countries have a "the" in front of the countries name 😉 Greetings from Germany

The Canadian army was very happy with their Leopards, which had the extra armered protection and were handled correct and all tank teams were coming back home safely, even though the Canadian tanks got attacked directly.
