  2.  @chriswardlaw5733  It's very unfortunate, as there are various documentaries about Brexit and everything coming with it, as well as the documentary done by Tom Costello, who's a very well known investigativ journalist (Hard Brexit -the coup of the rich elite). But, it somehow isn't possible to play it in the UK/GB, friends of us tried and it's not possible. Give it a try on DW about "Brexit and the Fishermen", 28 minutes, that should be possible to watch.   3.  @Withnail1969  European Solidarity Fund, originally made up because of Covid, to support economy etc, now because of the war and energy problems. Another one is there for EU "going green". It's financed by EU members and can be seen as investment into the future. Just have a look at the EUs Commission site for all those available EU funds. Again: EU solidarity 😉

  4.  @tomedwards4235 Only Cornwall on its own received € 800 million EU subsidies per year, because of: being one of the poorest five regions in the EU !! Oops .... and Blackpool received lots of EUs subsidies to restore the Blackpool Tower, the whole seafront as well as all coastline protection. Btw, Cornwall now receives £ 1 (yes, ONE) million pounds per year from UKs Gvt as "compensation" for the losses of EU subsidies. Bam !!!

  7.  @Withnail1969  I don't get upset at all, as it was the "usual comment (collapsing EU/ members) about the EU27. The EU27 have an extra fund/ budget for emergencies in case of bad times. As a person I would call it " back up savings", with that money EU will sort it 😉 Btw, the EU/ Germany will replace all fossil fuels (oil, coal, nat gas) with green hydrogen, the goal is focused on 2030-2045. Hydrogen can also be used as storage battery for the overloads from the offshore windmills and others. Various start ups are working on alternative storage batteries as well. The Netherlands, Danmark and Germany have the project "green hydrogen coast line", Fraunhofer Institute Bremerhaven is involved as well, all subsidiesed by the EU and Gvts. Daimler and Volvo Trucks as well as the Faun Group have developed hydrogen powered trucks, which are already in use and some weeks ago the world wide first 14 hydrogen powered trains started their service in Lower Saxony/ Germany. Hydrogen will also replace nat gas, which is used as raw material for proceeding steel, glass, paper etc. The recent under construction being LNG Terminals are convertable to hydrogen. Germany and Namibia will build the worlds largest solar park incl productions plants for green hydrogen and Ammoniac. 48% of Germany's electricity gets produced with renewables (wind, solar, water). And I'm using wind energy for electricity since 15 years 😉 Greetings from Germany
