  3.  Footing Ball555  In the core. There's no nuclear reaction on its surface. The surface of the Sun is cooler than the core, and hydrogen burns very hot. About as hot as the Sun's surface.

  4.  @KuzdaleA  no, not really. Oxygen is an oxidizer, you can replace oxygen with another oxidizer and you still get a flame. High oxygen concentration just speeds up the combustion (some times to explosive levels).
