@theepicduck6922 More like in the land of idiots. A 7 is only bad if it's out of 20 or more. If 5 is average, 7 is above it.

@theindie-vidual2188 A shitfest would be a 2 or less. This is not about opinions, it's about fair ratings. There are 5 digits below the number 5, they're supposed to mean something. If you have a wrong view of a rating, that's not my problem.

@alteredgenos When Breath of the Wild came out some people flipped when Jim Sterling gave it a 7, saying that a game rated 7 was crap. 🤦‍♂️

@Darksoul3224 If they give 5 to a trashy game then that's a wrong grade. In a scale from 0 to 10, 5 is in the middle. 5 is mediocre/average. Your comment is self contradictory. Still, you can't speak for every single reviewer, Jim Sterling gave to BOTW a 7/10 and said it was good. 7 means good. Everywhere else, ratings work the same way, why would it be different for videogames? I don't care about your opinion and it's not my problem that you and some reviewers fail to properly understand how ratings work.

@Darksoul3224 What does that have to do with literally anything? Average is a number expressing the central or typical value in a set of data, in particular the mode, median, or (most commonly) the mean, which is calculated by dividing the sum of the values in the set by their number. It has nothing to do what people feel about ratings.

@Darksoul3224 that's the problem of those who can't rate games properly. Not mine. I asked before why would it be different for games when it's the same everywhere else? I don't use those platforms for reference for a reason. If you want a proper point of reference check the user score instead of cherry picking.
