@maybeitsyou1317 NASA destroyed the machinery used to build the lunar module. They didn't lose the technology, they got rid of it as it was obsolete. It's like saying that the NES is fake because Nintendo can't make them anymore. NASA can however land on the moon with the current space shuttle technology, the problem is that they wouldn't be able to get out of it afterwards.

@herrwahnsinn4229 It's exactly the same thing. NASA doesn't have the very specific machinery to make very specific parts to do Very specific parts as much as Nintendo doesn't have access to ancient chips made by old machines necessary to make old consoles. Those things have been decommissioned and, unless there's an alternative (in consoles case emulation, which is not possible for space travel), the entire thing has to be made from scratch. And if it was extremely expensive before it will be extremely expensive again, which, unless there's something to gain from it, won't happen again. Just because it's old technology doesn't mean it's easy or cheap to make it. So yes, it's exactly the same thing. Your sorry attempt of straw man means nothing.

@rellik8746 Trillions of galaxies is still less than infinite matter. Besides the vast majority of space is empty. Also, infinite space is AN hypothesis, there's also the hypothesis that the universe is not infinite. What you said is nothing more than cherry picking.

@rellik8746 I can prove the Earth is round: the Earth's shadow on Lunar eclipses is always round. Spheres are the only objects in existence that have an uniform circular shadow at any angle. Proved.

Probably before the US were even a country.

@herrwahnsinn4229 There's live footage of the ISS available for everyone. There's even a phone app. Anyone with a smartphone and internet connection can disprove your childish claim. There have been thousands of witnesses who saw the ISS from the Earth's surface.

@yutoba-s1f The moon landing footage couldn't be faked at the time. They didn't have the technology for it. The Earth's shadow during a lunar eclipse is consistent with the Earth being an oblate spheroid. If the Earth had any other shape the shadow wouldn't be always round.
