The horseshoe crab is all out of fucks. It has none to give.

@Reddeth6332 Well, there's the story of Icarus that flew too close ro the Sun and burned his wings and fell to his death. Moral of the story was: humans aren't meant to fly. And yet our society doesn't work without planes. Those stories are made to make people not feel bad for their limitations and tell them that it's probably better to live without it. But we can see how useful flight is. So useful in fact that our civilization wouldn't exist without it. When people get access to disease immunity they'll make the same point as the one I'm making.

@AClericalRhino And you don't know how Mansa Musa's slaves were treated. Slave might very well mean that they were just employees. Etruscans treated slaves like that (simple employees), slaves could even run their own businesses completely independent from their owners.
35
I'll never get tired of hearing stories of this magnificent plane. Even if they're things that I already knew.
31
@NoNameEst1992 That's rich, holding people that lived centuries ago to modern standards. Nothing to see here, just a sperg being a sperg. Mansa Musa probably treated his slaves better than you treat the waiters in a restaurant.

Where I live there's a story where the "dead" body woke up before shutting the coffin. His wife said and I quote: "A despesa já foi feita, tens de ir" Which translates to: "The funeral has been paid for, you have to go." That story is super old, but it's still told to this day.
28
The Ninjas did it better. By concealing their identity they could kill more than a couple people before dying.
19
Even educated people could easily be fooled. The access to information back then was way harder, and the political situation of South America back then was also very unstable. A good comparison for the modern times would be the Fyre Festival, Internet Historian has a great video on it.
18
@garyberger9257 Go sink your money on solar roadways then. Cherry picking a few cases of success doesn't change the fact that 99.99% of ridiculed people are scammers or idiots. Especially when their outrageous ideas break fundamental laws of thermodynamics.
17
I can give myself goosebumps too. Can't do it if it's hot, like in summer.
16
4 wives? That means 4 mothers-in-law. Now imagine if he got drunk. Instead of seeing 4 mothers-in-law he'd see 8!!!!! A fate worse than death for sure.
16
@artifects03 The words of a murderer.
12
I had the same idea. Teaching Morse code. If two people in the time a YouTube video took to play 2 people had the same idea, why didn't a group of scientists, in a span of months, didn't think of that?
9
Yeah, Thoughty2 must be the best story teller on YouTube. Jeremy Clarkson is also amazing at that too. I wonder if being good at story telling is a British thing.
9
“The fundamental cause of the trouble in the modern world today is that the stupid are full of confidence while the intelligent are full of doubt.”—Bertrand Russell. It's not a trope, it's just that smart people aren't usually part of the Dunning Krueger club.
9
I prefer the atheist toast. No pictures.
9
@sancturillore What I meant was that Ninjas weren't a single misdion agents. Getting years of training to serve a single mission isn't that efficient.
8
@Philip54622 Only the ones that get caught. Remember, the profile you trace from known serial killers are the profiles of those that were caught. There's no way to know for sure how far the rabbit hole goes.
8
@skannerdk7268 What a big pile of nothing. Another comment full of buzzwords and literally 0 meaning. Thanks for wasting my time reading your garbage.
8
Or several fake funerals done at the same time. Use a forest to hide a tree.

Indeed, I've been putting a lot of morons in their place when they say the mort barbaric stuff about WW2, even though Portugal have known peace for centuries, I don't take lightly WW2 events. Although, there are so many idiots it seems pointless at times, for every one I manage to shut a dozen more take their place.
8
@humboldthammer ??? Sorry, but I don't speak gibberish.
8
@datbanan2717 Usually the more successful Ninja the less we know about them. I mean, stealth was one of their qualities right? Also, you'd be surprised with what people could get away with in a crowded place. If you stabbed someone dropped the knife and blended in the crowd you'd rarely be caught. It's not that there were forensics back then. Same effect without losing men. That was a tactic rebels employed against the Romans in the Middle East. But hey, different times, different cultures, different places. Each one does what's the most effective to them. Although the Saladin part was actually pretty clever. No one got assassinated nor killed and the conflict got solved by the next day.
6
@Nah mate If you say so... At least I don't hold people who lived hundreds of years ago to modern standards. LOL
6
@humboldthammer Which part of "I don't speak gibberish" you don't get?
6
@rileysmith9929 And doing the mission without losing the assassin is even more efficient.
5
That Toshiyuki guy deserves more than an Eg Nobel prize. Damn!

@tmilani8253 A scientific theory is an explanation of how a real event works. It has nothing to do with figuring out if that event is real or not. A skull was found, that means the animal was real, a hypothesis is made based on what information is available, that hypothesis is tested, and if successful and has no conflicting data it becomes a scientific theory. As more data is found, the more questions are answered and the more that theory is refined. You can still disprove some parts or the entirety of the theory by providing a better theory that better explains the observable event and answers more questions, but you can never disprove the observable event in itself.
5
@listenhere1623 14 actually, 10 of those 14 months were after his friend died.
5
@rustomkanishka That's not to say they didn't do one or two assassination missions. Oda Nobunaga was almost assassinated by a Ninja when he was sleeping. The plan consisted in using a nail tied to a rope and having poison run down through the rope until it dripped in his mouth.
4
@sloth8866 It's alright. Have a nice day 👍
4
@Nah mate Do you know when your ilk calls the waiter's manager after you treat the waiter like crap and lie to the manager about the things the waiter didn't do? Mansa Musa probably treated his slaves better than that. Now go back to the mall to harass people, with some luck you won't get arrested today. Karen.
4
More like "the average idiot"
4
@EvGaming88 If living in the wild didn't suck, ancient people wouldn't have invented civilization.
4
Your disappearance could kickstart a conspiracy theory that involved the JFK assassination, Flat earth, and a grilled chicken sandwich. And you blew it.
4
@harseeratlakhanpal8123 Maybe because you have similar tastes?
4
It seems he alone did more for the community than thousands of SJWs ever did.
4
@peacepoet1947 Ok then.
3
@sloth8866 By "did it better" I meant they lived so they could be assigned to the next job. With lack of better words, single use "tools" aren't as efficient as those that can be used multiple times before having to be replaced.
3
@Nah mate When did I say that? I don't hold people who had a mark in History for the slaves they held. If, let's say Lavoisier, had slaves that wouldn't make me go all nuts when someone said his name when referring to some scientific term in which he had something to do with, nor would I ever want to tear down any statue of him because of it. I'm not SJW scum. The part where I criticize you for holding people who lived hundreds of years ago to modern standards should prove it.
3
@rhov-anion Of all the games I mentioned only Outlast was more jumpscare oriented, the others are psychological horror. And Fatal Frame doesn't have a drop of blood. That game is masterclass horror. I suggested old PS2 games for a reason, Silent Hill 2 and Fatal Frame are the best horror games ever made. And by the way, I'm sorry for your loss. That must have been rough.
3
@timb4321 I don't know why but I can't see your comment aside from my notifications. I've been noticing missing replies in the majority of comments. YouTube has f***ed up again.
3
I just played Resident Evil 2 in front of my little brother. That worked.
3
Kinda reminds me the Lancia driver that didn't want to be champion and ended up winning the Rally. Check Lancia Vs Audi by Jeremy Orangutan Clarkson.
3
@BobbyP5985 You do realise there are poisonous berries and nuts, right? And even if you knew anything about the flora of your region, if you're stranded on a different region with completely different flora your knowledge wouldn't help.
3
I hate you and I hate the fact I love your comment. Here's an upvote l, but it's an upvote l don't like to give.
3
Damn! I missed 420 likes.

@ApplesWithPeanutButter Sure, if you eradicate the colourblind gene we'd end up with less diversity, but that would be due to the eradication of a genetic disease. Same can be said about hemophilia, down syndrome and many others. We are reducing the genetic diversity part that gives us diseases. The genetic diversity that would be filtered anyway by not being able to survive in the wild.
3
@sloth8866 They also did assassination. Nobunaga was almost killed by a ninja at one point. Sure, they weren't strictly assassins, but that doesn't mean they couldn't do it.

You getting numb to horror might be more of a personality thing. Both me and my younger brother were submitted to the same horror stuff (well... submitted by me) and I ended up growing numb to horror while my brother is as squeamish as when he was a child. On a side note, I'm happy I wasn't yet numb to horror when I played Fatal Frame 1&2 back then. Damn, those were some good games. Anyway, are you numb to horror movies or horror in general? I'd suggest you to play Silent Hill 2 and Fatal Frame 1 and 2 on a PS2 emulator, or for Alien Isolation and Outlast to confirm that. Videogames have a different way to convey an horror situation. You may even feel some nostalgia from the time when you were babysitted by your uncle.
