@ItzSadSanchez Ned'an is as Gary Stu as Gary Stu can get. He's hated by most people. And yes, that's include most Warcraft lore fans. For more info check "The worst character in Warcraft" by Platinum WoW People don't like bad characters, bad writing, or anything that can be considered bad. People don't like Mary Sues regardless of their gender.

@tomebasic2843 Anakin story was one of "no matter how powerful you are, you can still fail/fall." Anakin did everything a Mary Sue does not. He lost Vs Doku and lost an arm.* He tried to save his mother and failed. Fell to the Dark side. Tried to prevent Padmé's death and failed. Fought Obi Wan Kenobi and lost the fight his legs and the other arm and got horribly burned on what was left of his body.* *Anakin got permanently scarred by those events, whereas Mary Sues don't even get so much as a scratch. Anakin had everything he needed to be the most Mary Sue of all Mary Sues that ever existed. And he had a valid reason for that and yet he didn't. Anakin is literally the opposite of what a Mary Sue is. On contrast MaRey Sue pulled force heal out of her ass without any explanation of how she did it or why others before her couldn't. That is the Mariest Sue any Mary Sue has ever Mary Sued. EVER Sequel Trilogy Star Wars is disliked because it IS bad. It makes the prequel trilogy look like a Master Piece by comparison. Oh yeah, did I ever mention that Force heal was decanonised? Rey literally broke SW universe lore.

@peteramaranth85 It does make a difference for the same reason giving a weakness to a female character causes SJW scum to call them mysosomething. Giving a gay character a weakness makes the writers homophobic, and transphobe to a trans character. Since the SJW scum hasn't made up a phobe word for cis male it's fine to give them a weakness.

@qgvinh8614 Sorry to disappoint you, but having flaws doesn't mean much. A Mary Sue CAN have flaws. The thing is those flaws are irrelevant or inconsequential to the story. Example: Mary Sue says they can't swim. The story never forces them to swim. Mary Sue says they can't speak Japanese. Mary Sue never has an interaction with a Japanese person or, if they do, the Japanese character talks Mary Sue's native language. Only when the character with that flaw is faced with it and has to overcome it making it grow as a person can such character be considered as not a Mary Sue. I'm not familiar with SAO, but if Kirito never had to overcome his flaws, he can still be a Mary Sue.

@qgvinh8614 I never watched SAO anime or read anything about it. All I know is the premise my younger brother told me when he was watching the anime. That's not relevant though, what I meant is that if Kirito never had to be faced with his flaws the argument of having flaws doesn't mean he's not a Mary Sue. I never claimed he is a Mary Sue or not. I just pointed out that mentioning a character flaw doesn't mean it's a guarantee for that character not being a Mary Sue. He may or may not be a Mary Sue. I don't care. Wether he is one or not, there's still a buttload of people who hate him.

@Objective-Observer People like him don't have critical thinking. SJW is a cult. In cults you don't learn how to think, you learn what to think. And then everyone who doesn't accept their cult ideologies is inferior. They always act as if they have the moral high ground, but in reality all they achieve is becoming the very thing they claim to be fighting.

@tomebasic2843 Kinda but not really. For the untrained eye he might come as Mary Sueish. If you look carefully you'll notice that Anakin did race before, the problem being that not only he lost every time, but he also crashed all those times. Mary Sues don't fail. Another thing was the fighter scene, he was taught the controls of a ship when he left his planet. The ship pilot even stated Anakin was a fast learner. If he was a Mary Sue, he'd be able to fly the fighter without instructions, kill more enemy fighers than, well zero, and wouldn't be shot. Anakin didn't do much in the fighter. All he did was a turn, a spin, got shot and crashed on the battleship hangar. And those were his accomplishments: won a pod race and fired the torpedoes accidentally. He was a prodigy child, those exist, my cousin was one of them. Anakin was also a child, children don't make many enemies, but he did have one: Sebulba. Aside from that finding someone to hate a child would be dumb. Who would hate a child? Is kid Anakin a Mary Sue? Not really. But I can see where it comes from.
