  1. Grow trees, cook them into charcoal, bury it. All you need to do is find the species with the best ratio of time needed, carbon absorbed and charcoaling efficiency.

  2.  @dmitryisakov8769  Pristine wood rots and releases CO2 as the fungi break down the wood. The ground isn't hermetic, so the CO2 would come out anyway. Charcoal isn't like that, we'd basically be sending the coal, we dug up and burned, back to the ground.
