  2. I doubt snakes evolved from Mosasaurus like reptiles, there's no way they'd develop fingered legs after developing flippers, snakes most likely come from some semi-aquatic lizard that may have branched into Mosasaurus (water) and snakes (land). IF the snakes are related to Mosasaurus at all.
