g cartm What's with the blanket condescension? We're not in a civil war at the moment and my biggest complaint is how backed up the ATF is at issuing licenses for suppressor buyers like me. If you ask me those things shouldn't need a permit simply because of how many people buy them.

@jw5297 guns aren't status symbols to me

And since most of us don't plan on committing felony arms modifications, we don't really have a need for guns that can sustain high rates of fire.
2
@jw5297 buy a combat rifle, then. You don't need a whole collection of expensive weapons you'll never use.

@jw5297 liar.

Civilian belt feds still cost 9 grand, and since you can't get full auto I don't see why anyone here would get one.
1
@jw5297 Nine grand per gun? And the only reason they cost that much is they have to be beefy in order to fire full-auto for extended periods, and again the only way normal people are getting that is felony arms modification. Just stay legal and buy a quality full-sized AR for a fraction the price?

g cartm Are you trolling us or are you looking for political arguments?
1
g cartm yes, but my titanium knife wasn't debilitatingly expensive.

@jw5297 It isn't an investment, it's a toy to you.
1
@jw5297 you have never fired at a human target and never will

Who is going to sell it to you? And no, people will always know eventually.
1
@TheJazzyjake1234 Like you did. All the time.

Vhut?

Correction; The militias that owned cannons weren't privately held cannons. Your mixup comes from how soldiers had to supply their own personal weapons in those days.

@peasanttoking6839 even these days corporate ownership and private ownership aren't the same, and back then some corporation WERE COUNTRIES. As in businessmen were governors of certain areas. So real false equivalence
1
@mikealbert3516 No one bothers to regulate antique weapons, so weird equivalency. And municipalities often did ban men from militias, and in some cases disarmed them accordingly. Also, corporations were sometimes governments back then, and I know of no case where a private persob owned a heavy weapon... Although this is likely because they were expensive.
