@happydace6991 that's the most ridiculous way to push politics ever. You're effectively victim blaming and you should slap yourself for your insensitivity.

@80YearOldWoman... yeah, I looked him up and he had an allegation of flashing someone years before but it was a he-said they-said. His wife of many years spoke poor English and had no family in London which is probably significant. But that's not something that's an immediate red flag, and you can't expect anyone who ever worked with the suspect to know about his stash of "brutal porn." He also flash himself on camera only three days before the murder and that charge would have caught up to him quickly.

@happydace6991 are you this domineering all the time or just on the internet? If the latter, take a long break. If the former, I'd advise your spouse to leave you immediately. Now shut up before someone turns into pot roast.

What red flags?

@happydace6991 shut up before someone doxxes you.

Wut?

Let me see... He worked as a mechanic for his father for years and married a Ukrainian woman who spoke poor English before becoming becoming a traffic cop in 2008. He'd join a different department in 2011 for unknown reasons, and in 2015 he was accused of exposing himself to someone but apparently it was a she-said he-said. In 2018 he'd switch to a different police department where he'd finally become an armed officer. Just last February, he'd flash himself again and that would be confirmed during the murder investigation (if that had gotten done sooner Couzens wouldn't have been a cop last March in order to rape-murder Ms Everard). He'd also be tied to a similar incident at that same location. He was arrested within 10 days of the murder, and when the magistrate saw him he had suspicious head injuries received while in custody, and that's a mystery I don't want to solve. His police department would also find piles of "brutal porn" among his things during the investigation. The most legendary criminals are always the ones that are really good at hiding and suppressing their depravity. Although I'm sure Couzens was a real jerk to his wife and the fact she speaks little English is significant. Never put anything past anyone.

That would do nothing for no one. Especially when you can't trust anyone more than a random cop.
1
Not remotely. In fact this guy's only real red flag was a single he-said they-said flashing incident and his wife spoke little English. He had another flashing incident that was caught on camera just three days before the rape-murder. It seems this guy was just really good at suppressing/hiding his depravity.

@wotdoesthisbuttondo you think I know a thing about Britain's party politics? What I do know is British police is an apolitical organization.
1
What implicated his boss?
1
@VPPAF regardless if that's true, that has absolutely nothing to do with this as those two would have never met nor would have the London police boss have even met Couzen's boss. More importantly, nothing a manager could have done could have caused or prevented someone committing a felony. I have a strong feeling you'd call for high profile resignations no matter what happened simply because politics and/or a loathing of authority.

Britain doesn't have the death penalty or torture so there's nothing worse that can be legally done. Besides, a lot of people like me would honestly rather get shot than have a lifetime of boredom.
1
If they were going to do that, they'd cut the middle man and hang him.
1
You know he's going into max security for this very reason, right?
1
Max security is mental torture, but it won't kill. He did get a suspicious head injury when initially arrested and that's a mystery I don't want to solve
1
And people wonder why a lot of countries still have death penalties.
1
@JC-zw2uh so argumentative. Stats like that are subject to so many skews and culture-specific factors as to be of little use. Especially in places with low overall crime rates and few gangs. And you can't regress if you're dead, either.
1
@80YearOldWoman... I'd rather get shot then have a lifetime of boredom. But there's also more cost effective ways of torturing people besides extreme boredom.
1
@JC-zw2uh no, it definitely isn't. The only people who stop crimes before they happen are preachers and mothers. And you can take that from the terrorism expert. It's life. Stuff happens.
1
They do, upon conviction. Murder is murder.
1
Who is tham?
1
@sandobrien1025 same question, bozo
1
No way to tell
1
Not any of the ones that you'll meet. I bet my life upon it.
1
How'd you think rapist pick their victims?
1
Dude, they explicitly said no chance of parole.
1
If the law was going to get him killed, they'd cut the middleman.
1
Upon conviction, they all do go away for a lifetime.
1
That's pretty silly. Following that same logic we should have Heraldi style gender separation rules because you can't trust anyone more than you can trust a random cop.
