  1. By that logic, 99% of the developed world should be unemployed since most tasks have been automated over the past 200 years. No, increased automation means more production per worker. For instance, an American dairy farm has milking/feeding/cleaning robots that allows one farmer to do what use to take a dozen.

  2. There's even analogue AI hardware. Analogue computers are much more efficient than digital, but one devise can only do exactly one task and must be rewired for any change. It takes an absurd amount of computing to train an AI to do anything but after training it'sa simple program, so a custom devise makes sense.
