  6. @Wanfielf  yeah, I left out the fraud part. They're all registered as non-profits but the all charge interest akin to a credit card and have people arrested when they default.

  7. Credit Suisse assisted the Mozambique government with fraud... And they were mostly defrauding foreign investors.

  8. Some Credit Suisse bankers were convicted of that. But the real trouble is it seems everyone at the bank was involved in some sort of crazy risky scheme. If not illegal, than involving exotic investments that no one understands

  9. "Swiss bank account" was synonymous with unregulated numbered accounts, but that's not just because of Credit Suisse. Switzerland the country has very strict privacy laws and there's only so much banks are allowed to tell you about customers.

  11. I know of worse banks. Credit Suisse was the worst mega-bank.

  18.  @chiquita683  No one said other banks didn't pay fines, I said it wasn't routine overhead. The number of bankers getting arrested is also a good metric.
