  2. The only thing that's old is the airframe and aeronautics hasn't changed much in 50 years even if all the internals have been replaced.

  4. Eh? When it was made it was like something out of science fiction, but now the U2 is pretty standard tech (aside from the buttload of electronics they've been upgraded with).

  7. The AI he's talking about isn't what you're thinking. This is the type of AI that receives "good" and "bad" signals from the operator and looks for trends and anomalies in the data, makes lots of tiny variations it's methods, and then selects the methods that worked a little better. After about a thousand cycles of this you'll get an AI that can play a game, or in this case look for anything noteworthy in a photo.

  8.  @simonpeter9617  no. AI is increasing productivity per manhour. You still need a human technician to filter noice from interesting bits, and intelligence officers to write reports based on what they found.
