@ytredvb Except all the merchants supply those goods MUST use dollars. A lot of countries have hidden dollarization in this fashion

I have to agree with Milei on subsidies. Where I'm from, all the farmers grow corn if they can despite how a wheat/soy double crop being twice as productive and requiring a lot less water. The reason is ethanol. I remember when ethanol was introduced, no one bought it because it costs more than regular, but Mr. Obama subsidized it until it became cheaper and now everyone uses it. Now there's a lot more money in corn to make ethanol, so some farmers will even install pipes that cost as much as a new car just to give their fields more water just to produce less than they were before, all because the true cost is hidden via corporate taxes.

That was totally different circumstances where the problem was the depression caused the government to go defunct, not the other way around

Why do idiot reporters compare every foreign conservative to Trump?
2
Argentina was a Spanish colony if that is what you mean
2
And corruption. Which one was it that straight up stole a company by using eminent domain and a worthless promise of payment?
2
"Illegitimate laws" is an oxymoron. You mean "repeal counterproductive laws."

It always has been third world

He knows
1
You ain't in charge
1
Dude, you're from a culture where politicians all copy George Washington, who was a career army officer who dressed in regs and marched in step even on his days off. Milei is appealing to Argentinians who are mostly of American Indian descent and many have gang affiliations.
1
No one cares what you think
1
Most third world countries secretly idolized developed nations.
1
Maybe. Just business as usual in Argentine politics
1
You have to be a little crazy to lead a nation of gangsters
1
Ireland's economy is England's economy. End of story.
1
that's silly. This is a case where the country's leading banker is literally saying that he doesn't trust his own government to run any part of the economy, but does trust the US to keep the dollar stable.
1
Don't want an accident on camera. It's just for show, no actual insanity involved
1
He is not the Cato Institute
1
Frankly I wasn't aware Argentina was as socialist as China until Milei went on campaign

This idiot thinks planned layoffs would have an instant positive impact

@marcusg6573 Several of those conditions simply do not match Milei, and others match any and all election campaigns, comprende? Even so, that doesn't say anything about the systemic matter where any allegedly right wing leader is compared to Trump even if right and left do not exist in the country in question
1
That's the joke
1
It's a joke. He doubts Milei knows anything about her
1
They have given up. They trust foreign governments more than they trust each other
1
Hardly.
1
Dude, he called it shock therapy for a reason. The dumping of the peso is causing massive inflation. No one can magically fix an economy even with dictorial powers
1
That's the joke
1
If you ain't interested go elsewhere
1
Found the crypto bot

Zelenskyy isn't a libertarian
1
A lot of people call literally anything they don't like fascist, even strict school principals
1
Hardly. They;ve never heard of him, hense the weird misconceptions
1
Main Stream Media. A vague term for the typical newspaper account @marcusg6573
1
Idiot reporters tend to be young lefties deluded they control public opinion, so you understand his misconception @knightsnight5929
1
Milei IS a banker. He worked for various regional banks and has advanced degrees. That's why he damning of the whole system hits so hard. He's targeting state-owned enterprises, not the banks.
1
It was a nation of ponzi schemes before that
1
Lose the bullshit
1
The situation is bad, but let's not pretend anyone knows how to fix it/
1
The funny thing is Americans assume any and all people who pretend to hate capitalism also pretend to hate the Feds
1
Not at this time. And why would that be a problem? BTW, dollarization shifts the costs of maintaining a currency onto the US
1
We don't want them. El norte de Mexico and Canada are the candidates for that

That's the joke
