7:10 The Nazis also permanently closed markets, mostly. They coerced the sale of some companies to the state or party members (often using arbitrary fines), while others were forced to take on state regulators on site to run things. While all the names were different, the end result was the same as in Communist Russia. The little stock/bond trading that took place were party members trading state backed assets with each other. All but a few markets were closed completely, and the remainder laid off virtually all permanent staff.

@awesomeferret If you can't borrow, you spend less, meaning sellers of goods are competing for buyers rather than the other way around.

I can explain: Fed raises rate they both borrow and lend at. Ergo, people borrow less from the government and lend more to the government. All that extra money is simply deleted, deflating the currency.
5
Currency. It's an unregulated currency.

@awesomeferret that assumes money is no object, which isn't so. Note most big purchases involve borrowing (house, car, business, etc). The less access to borrowing, the less the average person can spend.

Recession entails negative growth.

Stock prices are forward looking. Following current trends you should invest when the Fed talks about cutting rates.

Except the expected return of said fund is zero minus management fee.

Meme stocks are pretty uncorrelated to the economy, and sometimes uncorrelated to the companies they represent.

You mind making sense, greedo?

A rare talent indeed

@christophertadeo6120 not exactly. But note since this is almost all happening in the digital space no physical bills were actually created or destroyed, the government simply credited their account as they liked
1
@awesomeferret It doesn't. Inflation encourages spending. Making it hard to borrow throttles the money supply, decreasing inflation.
1
@awesomeferret no, inflation means having less money LATER. Spending money NOW makes sense during high inflation

Greenback currencies cannot possibly be in a bubble. You don't even frickin know the meaning of the word
