  3. No... that's not how that works. You're assuming trading wheat means hoarding it, but with price spikes you could simply sell for considerable profit. Some people do that for modest no-risk returns. Think about it, it's a real world service where you store food during good times and ration it out during bad times and get paid.

  5.  @thickcheeks9603  also, a wheat trader may sell short wheat and buy a future in order to capture the high price risk free, and by doing so increase the immediately available supply. The only reason anyone would hoard wheat while prices are high is they fear things getting much worse.

  23. Cutting the subsidies will raise the price above ethanol-free gas, dropping the demand 10 fold as consumers almost always take cheaper gas. However, this is a long term solution to a short term problem

  24. Many are junk because they've rusted in a wearhouse for decades and the rest only work half the time due to lack of mechanics and discipline. And even then they lack qualified tank drivers/gunners. Also, eastern Europe is not a concern for Cairo who struggles to maintain control of their own territory and borders.
