This isn't illegal and the problem isn't that it is a hostile act but that some of these buys may be the prelude to a hostile act. If we really wanted to bar Chinese firms from buying things in America, go talk to a Congressman.

  12. There's no law against it. Courts and regulators have to manually bar suspicious transactions but depending on what is being bought there might be no government review. All the banks care about is if the transaction is legal. They leave politics to politicians
