One of his inventions was he looked at a toy car on his desk and saw how injection molding made them stupid cheap and wondered what's the max limit to how big you can make those. The answer was there was none, so he and his crew bought the biggest hydraulic press on the market, and crafted a liquid metal injection molding tool to make large parts for Teslas, turning dozens of parts into a handful and reducing time, labor, and maintenance to build Tesla components.

  24. I saw his interviews with Tim Dodd, he is a good engineer but that's it. He started out at the end of the tech bubble then jumped into EVs, supporting himself off money borrowed from Wall Street idiots. Only Tesla is profitable, and only slightly and only recently.
