Getting paid with options sounds like a infinite leverage glitch

Everyone loves getting paid on commission as long as it's not out of their pocket

To be fair to the board, no one knew the it would become a meme stock when they gave him those stock options and the given reason was at the time Tesla was not profitable.

@postmodernmining .

There are some systemic flaws with paying with stock options though. It's the reason Buffet never paid anyone with them, it creates wildly unequal pay for men who might just be working next to each other, but even might have the same job.

It was a class action, and since when is reducing exec pay a bad thing. Musk is still very rich

The investors got 2/3 of their money back. They usually do
3
A lot of them were involved in the lawsuit

@the0ne809 Nepotism is good for business

They are business friendly compared to other US states.

Vhut?

Are you 14 years old
2
What about it?

Shut up

According to the late Charlie Munger and Warren Buffet, the reason they never do compensation consultants is because the fool getting a quarter million a year from the company will never be independent.

He's still rich

Lying isn't necessary when the Afrikaner is involved.
1
They are making money for the moment

You don't know the guy

Shut up

They took a % of the settlement. Standard for huge class actions

Shut up. Get drafted
1
Irrelevant. And we'll jail you for contempt of court if you say otherwise on record.
1
Fair enough. It sounds weird the class that filed an overcompensation lawsuit agreed to such a commission on a huge case.
1
Like you'd know. He did invent the gigapress
1
There's nothing in here that says he doesn't like him
1
Elon doesn't know either. Due to the last few years of state politics in Texas, it's stereotyped as everything lefties hate.
1
Lying about judges can and will get you jailed for contempt
1
Also, Musk isn't GOP
1
If failure to damn is an offense, I'm affraid you have outed yourself as A) Greedy, B) A liar, and C) willfully ignorant
1
Vhut? Blackrock isn't involved

Irrelevant

You don't know the guy

Texas isn't necessarily more business friendly than a long list of non-Union states. Some state governments simply can't be bothered to make elaborate corporate laws. However, according to socialists on Twitter, Texas is evil capitalists incapable of having consumer protections.

Other shareholders got the bulk of the money
1
Probably a law student's life savings, and it was a class action. And lying about a judge can get to jailed for contempt

Probably a law student's life savings

Elon is not a righty. He created Tesla to fix climate change remember?
1
Since when is paltry pay essential? Just give him some shares, that essentially makes him paid on commission @krellin
1
No... It was fully disclosed but investors ignored it when the stock was going up
1
Class monopoly?
1
But the insane amount of money that wall street sometimes offers....
1
He's referring to the days when he slept on the factory floor when he was building Tesla factories. @jwillsher80
1
It simply slipped his mind that that happened @doncarlodivargas5497
1
Shut up
1
@matiashamalainen7965 or got lucky. Or committed fraud.
1
@postmodernmining no it fucking isn't. Amazon was paying people as low as shift managers with options but that was considered odd and they stopped when they pivoted to profitability. And condescending makes me dead sure you've never had experience in the matter
