  1. Because you have never understood high speed options trading. It's essentially telling a computer what to buy/sell based on certain criteria to make mostly risk free profits a little at a time. For instance, call options might be expensive when gamblers get up in a certain city but those same calls become cheap in the evening when all their brokers close out their positions automatically. And arbitrager could buy all the calls in the evening hedged with a short sale then sell them all in the morning.
