  1. The Chinese housing markets are done some and Chinese stocks down a little. The trouble is Chinese markets are not efficient and stocks can be divorced from reality indefinitely.

This is a gray rhino type bubble, meaning Chinese businessmen desperate to become the biggest on the block will keep feeding into the maelstrom even when reality has become plain for all to see. Contrast this with the first world, where the bubble bursts instantly once it's existence becomes widely known.

  7. Nah. Only handfuls of people saw it coming. Everyone else figured it out at the same time and BOOM, crash happened within a week. Meanwhile China's gray rhino type bubble involves decades of building collapses, high profile corruption busts, bankruptcies, and so forth but people kept buying in driving new ventures up.
