Ah yes. Coca-Cola. The universal measure of inflation

US narrative? If you've ever been on Turkish language social media you'll find nothing but contempt, even among Islamists.

Sharia bans charging interest period

You assume these guys have any idea what they're doing. Besides, interest has always been a thing in Islamic countries. They just have that rule so bankers can oust their rivals

@Marcial Abrahantes it's because the recipe and process doesn't and the demand is steady because people drink it like water.

You?

The only real difference it makes is which fool steals the foreign currency reserves

So his men are... Trukish?

No. We ain't suppressing information just because it makes an incompetent freak show look bad.

Islamic finance is an oxymoron. Sharia bans all interest.
2
Turkey can't even afford concrete, let alone a gold reserve
2
@Loredana Godorogea cost of living is high in that city, you're deliberate vague on timeline, quality of cheese varies wildly, and your statement couldn't be more useless if you tried
2
@omedyie5066 no, I'm just telling you to quit backseat governing in the most assholistic way possible
2
That's an absurd way to put it. The whole population has trouble with authority and envy his job. Most Turks are associated with him in the loosest way possible because they vote for lesser politicians that take bribes from the government.
2
That's not how it works. Elections are stacked in favor of the incumbent, and larger losing parties are incorporated into the government or bribed or purged.
2
Turkey has been living beyond its means with borrowed funds for 20 years and is now running a transparent Ponzi scheme
2
@victoneter and separately DAESH, but the Turks mostly fought each other in the last decade
1
There was one years back. What's happened recently?
1
They're stacked in favor of the incumbant. They serve the role of revealing which lesser politicians need to receive bribes in the form of government jobs. When the incumbent dies, they fight

Vhut?

It's been rigged for ages. They have a party list system, meaning any number of parties run and after the election the parties form a coalition that reflects most votes. There are no barriers of entry forming a party, so most are tiny things with local politicians. However, the threshhold for getting seats in Parliament is as high as possible, so small parties much latch onto larger parties or simply throw out their votes. The incumbent President controls police censorship, national budgets, an appointment powers to any government job so the incumbant ALWAYS wins. The elections serve the purpose of finding who needs a cut of the government's power and money.

@feylezofriza You're 17, aren't you?
1
@feylezofriza No, being a minor just makes you a fool
1
Quit blaming idiot politicians. Like most Islamic states, Turkey was living far beyond its means using borrowed funds for decades.
1
@crtpo1809 but then Turkey would break the myth that they're a middle income state
1
@Paltheus in theory, but Sharia is the given reason why Ankara cut interest rates. Of course, the real reason is because it's all a Ponzi scheme
1
@southstar9931 your pathetic arrest record is public info. Now shut up before your mother takes your phone

Those countries are loaded with liars and thieves like Turkey is
