Where I'm from what most people are inheriting are houses and equipment and while the parents are alive they still need it.

Only the people who care respond to an advert for a poll.

Lying isn't necessary in this instance. They were both born UPPERCLASS, alongside most other "self made millionaires." The secret is indirect inheritance through rich friends/relatives who supply generous loans.

@usausausausa Gifts are not taxed. Yes, this can be abused.

Most wealth has been accumulating since ancient times. Get over it.

A pathological rejection of authority?
3
@volodoschopin3566 true, except for the self-made part. The "successful people" mostly have indirect inheritance through associates not their parents giving them generous loans, and others are just leveraged to the tits and win. A common man can aspire to have a house and skilled trade, a rich man can aspire to have a small empire
2
The people that call their parents lazy are the same people that call their children lazy
1
For most people, most of their inheritance is a house and personal equipment like cars.

About what?

Same headline, different year
1
That's silly. Those two generations aren't fighting over the same funds and there's no reason to prefer older children
1
@Tartersauce101 Except that's what happens every generation. I assumed you meant the oldest kids were taking everything.
1
That's not true for most "self made billionaires." Most of them were talented workaholics that leveraged to the tits selling equity investments and started their businesses with generous loans from family.

@thepvpchannel-oq7nq You said they stole the money from the government which is simply libel and will be treated as such
1
@thepvpchannel-oq7nq come on. We both know you want the funds to be treated as stolen
1
Shh. The deadbeats on Reddit will ban you for saying that. I am not kidding.

@johnc3886 envy.
1
@neilkurzman4907 it isn't. It's libel from envious bastards

You will go bankrupt soon enough

I'd disagree that inheritance dilutes innovation because risk takers and inventors are not necessarily the same people. I.E. the Russian guy that made some of the early equations for rockets did so for fun, his job was teaching high school math.

Born 1950, have kids between 1970-1990.
1
Shouldn't everyone?
1
Not that much, most of it actually was in the form of loans from rich associates that they weren't necessarily related to. Same nepotism, broader effects.
1
Speculators get lucky, did any have prior knowledge?
1
Because it doesn't happen. Most inheritances are houses/equipment, not bank accounts
1
@ggtgp but the practice of insurance spreads most of that cost over most of the population for most of their lives. Even so, that doesn't mean they sold all their possessions
1
My parents have two houses, two cars, and a bunch of other random stuff of some value, but it's being split 8 ways and IDK what they're doing in the will other than that I am the executor.
