Those "wealth management products" promised 13% returns. For comparison, the Madoff's "hedge fund" promised 12%.

More tonnage of concrete was poured in China than anywhere else, but most of the was being actively diluted with sand, recycled bottles, or used scrap metal in place of rebarb. The extensive use of concrete in China is sole down to simply how often it gets replaced.

Draw enough attention to those, a bureaucrat may unilaterally close that loophole.

@seneca983 not in the amount used. Or a lower grade of material is used, like a soft stone that's easy to mine or locally available sand that's not good for building. I saw one clip where a construction worker broke an inch thick rebarb with his bare hands. Again, that's something only possible if it's actively diluted. Other issues include soil compaction, or more like the lack of it. And the concrete is usually pretty thin.

@cervelo9465 you think so, that doesn't mean a regulator will.

@cervelo9465 China's central bank complained a while back that skewed GDP data made their job difficult. If they printed bills based on the increasingly exaggerated GDP growth reports, that would devalue the currency.

@Lawofimprobability the GDP numbers are also fraudulent, but that's a a different story.

Kitty Cat shut up and do your homework. Trolling the internet isn't the best use of your time

@guppy0112 given the execs cashed out early, I wouldn't be surprised if they do end up in prison.
