@ClassicGymBro to divorce his wife, sure. Not to off a random cop for doing their job.

That term may apply to me at the rate I'm going.

People think soldiers are all patriotic and want to help. No. Voice of experience, most of us enlisted because it's a job that pays, and many of us have an urge to prove how tough we are.
2
I honestly can't think of one that would honestly be funny.
2
You can't make that assessment.
2
Because someone indisputedly innocent got wasted for no reason?
2
You literally have no way of knowing that. Besides, this guy was big, a trained soldier, and ambushed them as they approached the door. Not even Wyatt Earp would have done better.
2
He had just killed his wife.
2
This is not the place for such jokes.
2
He was probably all smiles in public.
1
Not his.

From the reactions I've seen, there's people sad, there's people blaming it on unrelated issues, and of course there's crooks jumping up and down.
1
It was a domestic disturbance call. Generally those are nothing except family members arguing with each other, but occasionally you walk in on abusive husbands in a compromising disposition. Even then most of those guys are just super belligerant, not ambushing anyone anyone who gets close.
1
You think soldiers are inheritantly nicer or more patriotic than others? No, most of us joined because it's a job, and some of us join to prove how tough we are.
1
Says who?
1
Most of the people he meets will be drug dealers and such that don't have a thing against cops.
1
@yourbadtrip4207 I use to guard a jail. The drug dealers were just normal guys willing to risk jail time for fast cash. The wife beaters and sex offenders are the fools that have trouble with authority. But most inmates aren't those. Although there was always a lot of drama and boredom in jail.
1
@yourbadtrip4207 You were inferring cop killers are celebrated in prisons, that simply isn't so. Jails are full of degenerate drug user/dealers and gangbangers that will beat the daylights out of alleged sex offenders and terrorists and don't care one way or the other about cops.

Someone's gotta do the job.
1
It's near impossible to get a death sentence in the US these days.
1
Wut?
1
His doesn't.
1
I don't encourage women to take tough jobs, but by her resume she may have had an urge to prove how tough she is. But since the whole thing was an ambush by a soldier, there wasn't really anything she could have done to prevent her own death.
1
This man doesn't represent a norm.
1
@nickkbudiono not everyone would agree. I mean, I'd rather go down fighting than wait years for old sparky or spend life wasting away in jail, but not everyone is like me.
1
Dude. In the US commercial fishing has a higher fatality rate than police. And the only police job comparable in danger to Afghanistan is undercover agents penetrating gangs. Lose the trash talk
1
Would you say the same if the suspect got wasted instead?
1
That isn't funny
1
@yeoldeseawitch I'd be more amused by your disembowelment
1
I only did it so I could flag some of these idiots.
1
Being a well intentioned youngling that got offed for trying to help.
1
That guy's life doesn't matter. He barely evaded the death penalty.
1
Dude, there are tens of millions of guns in the US. Most families own one.
1
Is that an artistic expression signifying the need for a psych eval or a terroristic threat warranting a boot from the internet?
1
Please use /s to mark something as sarcasm
1
I wish.
1
Dude, officer involved incidents are as old as professional law enforcement itself. It's just that this decade has politicized the topic.

This ain't even a featured story.
