  13. If there was a clear reason to have only megabanks, then regional banks would be rare. For instance, locally owned banks are now very rare although they use to be the norm.

No, less than 1/3 the amount of new mortgages are being created this month as opposed to a year ago. And corporate Darwinism has always been a thing. Banks come and go with the decades, no need to be sentimental about them.

  30. Physical access to the bank. My rentor has had to pay ATM fees because she only uses PayPal while I use the same local bank I always have. Also, I know people that work there, and they go through MasterCard so my debit card works anywhere anyway.
