Most obvious signs of a scammer: They dick measure with wealth, they get angry when you talk about criminals like themselves, and they claim their business is different than all the others. The influencer calling you a "broke moron" clearly has a guilty conscience.

Ironic that a system meant to be impossible to control has problems only a government can solve...
220
They were scammed, not involved

This is where real mob bosses come from. Nice enough to form a team, mean enough to commit a crime, and an infinite risk tolerance
137
The FBI literally filed charges on 8 of these guys this week.
102
That jerko was pumping this? I knew he was arrogant (literally thinks he's smarter than all the government) but I didn't think he'd get involved in this. Then again, of course he's guilty of the exact thing he accuses all the "oligarchs" of...
102
Impossible, since due to his position he can only talk about large caps. However, since he leans heavy on FANG and is the eternal bull, he'd probably match an index.
86
Mafia. That's the word you want.
82
It's literally the only argument these goons have left. I had one guy try to argue how luna's arbitrage was perfect... Below a piece where its depegging was announced

“In retrospect, the currency backed by memes was bound to be less stable than the one backed by aircraft carriers.” -Anonymous
75
All gamblers believe they have a system, no matter how illogical
63
@adz1011 Not yet
60
@Kolby.with.a.K you miss the part where all these stablecoins violently depeg eventually?
56
Banks have a "HODL mode." It's called a Certificate of Deposit (CD).
53
Since the discussion was off the record, it was probably one of Mr. Beast's employees breaking the story rather than the man himself.
45
Coffee is essentially an crime reporter now.
42
@Ufhhh12 Ha. Al Capone himself was said to be the nicest criminal anyone ever met. Even got scammed a couple times because he was too trusting, but that is also why he could keep a crew getting along until he went to prison. Likewise, VICE interviewed a middle boss in the Medellin Cartel only to find it was a middle aged lady and her sons. She got the job because she had been with the gang long enough to rat out her boss to the big boss and the big boss disappeared him and promoted her
36
@Kolby.with.a.K we're talking about crypto, bro
32
Given the circumstance it may be a charity scam about Ukraine.....
27
@JINORU_ In that game the problem isn't the gamblers (although there's part of the game that's used as a slot machine). The main problem is it is believed all the work on the game is being done by a single intern with a budget of zero and there have been many bot hosts over the years trying to deliberately destroy the game. Things have improved significantly this year, though
24
He's another pseudo-socialist accusing everyone with more money than himself of being stupid and corrupt... Whilst making basic mistakes in pushing his own cheap lies onto his audience. It's an oft repeated pattern among thieves.
19
Greedy liars pretending everyone else is greedy liars?
17
The smartest criminals are the ones we are not aware of
14
What lawyers?
14
To what? See a porn star get naked during an "audition?" Yeah. He did that.
13
A strange assertion, given nothing criminal was revealed in the Pandora Papers. It was merely a file dump that would have been considered a lawsuit worthy privacy breach if the targets had been anyone but elites. That is, unless you count the Jordanian king using state funds as his personal pocket book. But the Jordanians know as well as we do that the law isn't worth the paper it's printed on in that part of the world.
12
The legal system moves at a snail's pace and there's bound to be a bunch of jerkwads floating about at any given time.
11
@GreatClickbait nah. Rebels are just power hungry. Every last one of them.
11
Finite number of investment banks, and Switzerland has tight privacy laws.
10
A lot of these guys get taken down, you just notice the ones still loose more
10
Loss depression.
9
He did post videos with much of the evidence against them.
9
@themaskedmaestro4699 dude, he was a conspiritard the whole time. He literally thinks he's smarter than the whole government. Those guys are always hypocrites and you should anticipate them accusing others of the exact things they intend to do.
9
Original reporting like this is what marks Coffee out as an actual crime reporter.
9
@captainsuckbutt3917 That simply doesn't match up with the facts. Coyotes told reporters they estimate 80% of the drugs get through, but the Border Patrol estimates 70-75% of the drugs get through. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
9
Dude, these guys were all arrested
9
People boasting how much they spend are clearly neither professional gamblers nor traders nor investors. Because those guys only stay profitable because they curtail their spending to only what they need.
8
All these scams could be avoided if you follow the advice of one legendary investor: Ignore advice from someone trying to sell you the idea.
8
CZ is definitely be arrested on other charges eventually. I bet my life upon it.
7
Technically they were a hedge fund because they used private equity from rich people to fund their investments, but that doesn't mean they were licensed stock brokers.
7
As if he wasn't already a conspiritard.
7
I saw a post on Reddit with a list of stocks that were trading at 6-month lows saying people should "buy the dip." I replied: "And I will assume you're in the red on all of them." Always assume people materially benefit from anything they're pumping.
6
Relevance?
6
Wut?
6
I guarantee you the guys that claim causing them "emotional distress" is a felony also harbor delusions that you're not allowed to criticize the men who are really in charge.
6
We don't need an excuse. The Feds will take control of any market it likes.
6
Like matching shirts that say "Be different."
6
@brownerjerry174 a libertarian can be literally anyone non-partisan.
5
It's just the latest iteration of the same old grift.
5
@belongda6032 people who think life is fundamentally predatory are always thieves.
