  2.  @Thatanonguyintheback  long term capital gains, yes. But the point of the video was a lot of novice traders find out the hard way why it's better to hold for at least a year. In one extreme case, a guy bought and sold the SPY fund daily thinking he could outsmart the market. He didn't, and made little money, and due to wash sale rules his losses were discounted but gains were counted resulting in a nominal tax bill lager than his net worth.
