  14. Not even they could do that. Their market caps are 30 times their annual revenues, and ~95% of revenue is spent immediately on expenses. Besides, they could do a lot more for us by investing in R&D for their own profit. Also there's nothing necessarily wrong with national debt.

This is a good overview of the system, but just note the technical details on the electronics is worth a 60 minute video as it coordinates automatically with air force radar and is placed in interlocking fields of fire and has different success rates on type of missile and where it's going and so forth.

  26. Dude, most companies are not buying back shares at any given time. Buybacks and dividends can be suspended at any time and they often are. But guess what, the above accounts for a TINY FRACTION of earnings. You shouldn't berate corporations when you have no idea how it works.

  41. Some companies do have savings and buy bonds with it. But most companies in the Anglophone world spend excess earnings on growing the company and/or rewarding investors. Also, a bailout is a low interest loan and not a gift.

  45. Not at all. Apple has a PE Ratio of 29.7, meaning they earn enough in 30 years to buy their own company outright. Microsoft is 35.7, however Amazon is at 69.7 mainly due to Covid driven market swings. Note that the average stock has a PE of 18.

  47. One problem is some voters will credit/blame Gavin for actions taken by NGOs, bureaucracies, and city governments. Also, the divide over Covid rules doesn't correspond to party politics. I've see both plandemic people and vigilante mask enforcers from both parties. I have no idea how this ends.
